Neo4j Bloom 2.4.0
new
Welcome to Bloom 2.4.0!
In this release we've updated Bloom's styling, and added features to make life easier for new users:
  • Note that this and future releases of Bloom are no longer compatible with Neo4j 3.x databases, which have reached end-of-life.
  • New Basic Access Bloom users will see a default search phrase included in new perspectives, "Show me a graph". This search phrase can be invoked Bloom's search bar and will make it easy to start exploring your data by showing a random subset of your graph.
  • Bloom can also now automatically synchronize perspectives by adding newly found database labels as categories. This functionality will be turned on by default for Basic Access users, and turned off by default for Full Access users. User can adjust the setting to their preference in the settings panel.
Neo4j Bloom 2.3.1

  • Missing scroll bars in Saved Cypher
  • In some cases, relationship caption settings were not restored
Neo4j Bloom 2.2.0
new
Welcome to Bloom 2.2.0!
Captions Refresh
We've moved captions out of the Perspective Designer and into the styling window of the legend panel, and this change comes with the ability to customize captions on relationships as well as nodes. Simply select the Category or Relationship type and customize the properties you'd like to see as captions under the Text tab of the styling window.

Scene Actions
Scene actions are an exciting new feature that extend the power Bloom - now you can create custom Cypher actions that are available from the context menu and can use a selection as input. This is similar to Bloom's existing Search Phrase functionality and can be found in the Perspective Designer under Saved Cypher (which is where you'll now also find Search Phrases).

Bug fix: Node sizing was reversed in Rule-based styles
This patch release introduces a fix for a bug where nodes would be sized incorrectly when Rule-based styling was applied. Users who swapped Minpoint and Maxpoint values in Rule-based style definitions should return them to the original state after installing Bloom 2.1.1

Additional bug fixes
We also included fixes for the following issues:
  • Improved styling of error messages in the search phrase editor
  • Timezone translation histogram details not correct in all cases
  • Improved error messages for WebGL problems
Notice: Bug with Rules-based Styling
new
Please note that we've confirmed a bug with Rule-based styling in Bloom 2.1 that results in node sizes being inverted when applied as a Range rule-based style. We are working on a patch for this issue which should be released in the coming week.
In the meantime, a temporary workaround involves switching the Minpoint and Maxpoint values in the rule-based styling pane for affected style definitions. These values will need to be returned to their original state once the updated version of Bloom is available.
